2. Acceptance

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

3. Information on the site

We publish opening hours, festival dates and programme information in good faith and keep them as current as a volunteer team reasonably can. Festival dates follow the lunar calendar and are confirmed roughly six weeks in advance; hours occasionally change for weather, private ceremonies or maintenance. Please telephone before travelling a long distance.

4. Acceptable use of the website

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system.
• Do not introduce malicious code, or scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others.
• Do not use our name, emblem or photographs to solicit donations or imply an association that does not exist.
• Do not use the contact form or our email address to send unsolicited commercial messages.

5. Conduct at the mandir

Everyone is welcome. In return we ask that visitors remove footwear at the entrance, refrain from bringing alcohol, meat or tobacco onto the premises, supervise their children, respect the quiet of the shrine room during aarti, and follow reasonable instructions from volunteers. We reserve the right to ask anyone behaving abusively or unsafely to leave.

6. Intellectual property

Text, photographs, the emblem and the design of this website belong to Shri Khodiyar Mandir Trust unless otherwise stated. You may read, print and share pages for personal, educational or non-commercial community purposes with attribution. You may not republish our material commercially or present it as your own without written permission.

Where we link to other websites, we do so for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

8. No professional advice

Nothing on this site or offered by our volunteers constitutes legal, medical, immigration, tax or financial advice. Our welfare volunteers assist with practical matters only and will always encourage you to consult a qualified professional.

9. Limitation of liability

The website is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois and federal law, the Trust, its trustee and its volunteers are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or from reliance on information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tazewell County, Illinois.
